Happy New Year from Training Umbrella! Wow, can you believe the new year is upon us? 2023 was definitely one for the books; new partnerships, goals, and friendships. And continuing to learn and grow together. By the end of 2023, Training Umbrella had a few changes in mind with how we wanted to start the new year with our clients. One change that is probably the most important: We’ve expanded!
With each booking we get, we learn something new. And the biggest thing we took away from 2023 was that there was a demand for bigger meeting spaces. Companies are going back to in-person meetings full-time with larger group attendance! (Music to my ears, of course.) And to accommodate the demand, Training Umbrella decided it was time to do some renovations.
Room 107
You may have had a class in our old rooms 107 & 103, both seating roughly 20-30 people. But have you seen that space recently? We took those smaller classrooms, knocked down the wall in the middle, and voila! A 75 person classroom appeared! This reconfigured space has new furniture, decor and a few extra TV screens. It is now one of our most in demand rooms. It’s right off the lobby when you walk in the front doors, so it’s easily accessible and easy to find!
All of our room rentals include a break area with a coffee bar, sodas, water and tea included at no extra cost. Room 107’s break area is right next to my office (and Jason’s office for quick IT support!)

Room 416
Located on the 4th floor, Room 416 is one of my personal favorites. We can seat 45-50 people classroom style in this room. It is large and bright with color and sunlight. With projectors and screens at the front and TVs at the back, this room can accommodate any room setup. Attendees will be able to see clearly from anywhere in the room. My favorite part is the break area. We created a little foyer as you walk in with a greenery wall along with comfy and colorful couches and chairs for a quick reset. This room feels cozy! As you continue, there is a large area for lunches, breakouts or personal calls with a coffee bar, sodas, tea and water all up for grabs for you and your guests.

Virtual Studio
We’ve renovated our Virtual Studio as well for instructor only, online classes. We offer all the A/V equipment and hookups (HD cameras and mics of all sizes, multiple high definition screens), sound deadening doors and walls, anything you’d need to professionally teach an online class. Our Virtual Studio is also located next to our office for quick and easy IT support.
Looking Forward to 2024!
With all of these renovations and changes, Training Umbrella is starting 2024 with enhanced offerings and capabilities in our Kansas City location. We will continue growing with our clients and learning what they need so we can accommodate.
