Microsoft Teams is one of our most requested classes. Some of you reading this blog are most likely using Teams within your organization. If not, you may be soon. Learning new software programs can be daunting but it doesn’t have to be that way.
I was excited when my friend Dana Hetrick asked me to teach her staff on Microsoft Teams and OneDrive. Dana owns Lucas Commercial Flooring Group which is on target for major growth. Implementing software that will help foster this growth and the communications that come along with it, is a smart move. Dana was named 2023 Enterprising Woman through Enterprising Women Magazine. The organization was recognized as the 2022 Best Places to Work by the Kansas City Business Journal.
The tagline on their website says it all:

The training took place on site at Lucas Commercial Flooring. We customized a three-hour session that fit their specific topic needs. It was fun, interactive, and ended with a pizza party for lunch! Dana mentioned that her staff enjoyed the training and was glad that “we had someone down to earth teaching the class and she was a great fit for our group.”
Fun Fact: I met Dana through NAWBO. The National Association of Women Business Owners has a local Kansas City chapter. She and I both currently serve on the Board of Directors. She is our Sponsorship Director and is slated for President of the board starting in July 2024. I currently serve as the Programs Director. Without our involvement in NAWBO KC, it is very likely that Training Umbrella would not have had this opportunity to work with Lucas Commercial Flooring. More importantly, I would not have met Dana. I appreciate her business savvy and her friendship. Not all business transactions end in friendship, but this one certainly has.
